When I started Cyberdyne over two years ago it was always with the mindset that with it’s success would also come the responsibility to pass on what I’ve learned, not just as a father with my immediate family but also with my community at large. That’s what CYBERDYNE CARES is all about. Providing access and insight to the youth in our community. Using STEM as the foundation of our programs we provide a fun and hands-on experience that captivates youth and encourages mistakes in a judgement free zone.

Our Learning with LEGO’s is a great example of how we tackle some of the above issues. With LEGO’s, kids learn to try new things and develop new skills without a fear of “doing it wrong” or failing. Their castle wall may fall because it’s stacked too high, or their skyscraper may not have turned out exactly how it was planned, but they can always start again. In the process, they are building confidence, developing spatial reasoning, and learning the mathematical concepts of symmetry, shape, and geometry. All this from some plastic bricks, who would of thought?!

Just one example of how we use the seemingly mundane to meet youth at their level and use those opportunities to water the seeds of imagination and help build great artist, leaders, teachers and responsible citizens of the future.
